    The dungeon is no more. It’s been replaced by a high-tech newsroom in downtown Phoenix, and Stauffer Hall as a Cronkite hub is now officially a memory.

    Join us for a behind-the-scenes look at the new (to us) downtown home of The State Press and the Cronkite School. See how the program has evolved and how Cronkite is keeping pace with the changing world of journalism.

    3 to 4:30 p.m. – Alumni Panel Discussion

    4:30 to 5 p.m. – Alumni/student mixer with hors d'oeuvres & drinks

    5 to 5:30 p.m. – Cronkite "Hall of Fame" Induction

  • 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. 

    ASU Memorial Union (Tempe Campus), 1290 S. Normal Ave, Tempe 
    (Please arrive promptly at 10 a.m. at the Southwest entrance of the Memorial Union to be escorted up to the State Press newsroom. )

    Get an exclusive look at the main State Press newsroom inside the Memorial Union and chat with current staffers about what it’s like covering ASU’s sprawling campus. 

    Then, take a short walk to the (abandoned) Matthews Center Dungeon. They’re opening it just for us. Come see it one last time before it’s condemned and torn down (we just assume).

Join your fellow State Press alumni from the late ’90s and early ’00s — and our legendary student media advisers, Bruce Itule and Kristin Gilger — for a night of stories, laughter and the kind of reminiscing that only comes from surviving the dungeon together.
