Are +1s welcome?

Yes! Purchase a ticket for your +1, and they’re welcome at the weekend’s events.

Can kids come?

Reunion weekend events are adult-oriented. While we love your kids, these probably aren’t the events for them. Older teens and young adults (perhaps considering a career in journalism) interested in attending Cronkite School activities on Friday, Nov. 6, are welcome if space allows (in this case, please email the committee ahead of time at statepressreunion@gmail.com to inquire).

However, the Saturday, Nov. 7, main reunion event at Tempe Social Hall is reserved only for ticket-holding guests who are 21+ years of age. 

Do I have to attend all of the events?

Nope. We hope to see everyone at the main reunion event on the evening of Saturday, Nov. 7. The rest is gravy. Your ticket covers the whole weekend’s slate of events, but if you’re also visiting with family or don’t care to see the new Cronkite School or participate in the State Press newsroom visits, that’s totally fine.

What grad years is this for?

This reunion idea originated with alums who worked in the Matthews Center “dungeon” newsroom roughly 20-25 years ago. However, the reunion is open and welcoming to State Press alums of all eras.

What is the dress code for the weekend's events?

We suggest business casual for all reunion-related events, but come in what you are comfortable in. We are excited to see you no matter what you wear.

How can I help?

Thanks for asking! A few things:

  • Buy a ticket. Duh.

  • Spread the word. The planning committee built a solid list, but we know we’re missing people. Tell your SP network about the event.
